The Modbus RTU address of each connected sensor or device is set to its factory default value. Address conversion is performed in the Connect-And-Play sensor base.
This ensures that a sensor can easily be unscrewed and replaced by another pre-calibrated sensor.
Since there is no analog signal transmission outside the sensor, in-place calibration is not required.
When a sensor is due for calibration, it can simply be replaced by a calibrated sensor and calibration can be performed in a remote lab.
